If you’ve logged onto fashion TikTok the past week, you probably are familiar with the “boring” NYC influencer discourse.
But to me, this begs the question: is the call coming from inside the house?
Not no.
Rewind: for the uninitiated (just join TikTok, for crying out loud), this video blew up and has really taken on a life of its own, as it has created a discussion around: the content we’re consuming, what makes someone have influence, and why does the TikTok algorithm favor certain creators?
Do I think all NYC influencers are boring? Absolutely not. But I do have some notes.
